Primary Suite Designs:

As luxury custom home builders in Arizona, we understand the importance of specific areas of your home. Aside from the kitchen , which we would agree is the heart of the home. Another area you spend a lot of time in is your primary suite. You may think, “Well no, I just sleep there”, and while that may be true, this is still a great deal of time! Some of our favorite primary suite designs are below!

Primary Suite Must-Haves:

While building or remodeling your primary suite, functionality is one of the most important factors to keep in mind. All while still keeping style and comfort in mind. Your primary suite should be a little piece of a private sanctuary for you. After a long day at work, as Arizona builders, we know that coming home and relaxing is important. Some features that we believe are must-haves in the primary suite are a large walk-in shower with no steps, a large walk-in closet, and double vanities.

Having a large shower can be a benefit to soothe daily aches and pains, as you can have multiple wall shower jets, shower heads, and more.

Behind us are the days of creating a second closet in your bedroom while getting ready. Now, with a walk-in closet, you will be able to have room for all of your clothes to be displayed! As well as, containing the “clothes mountain” in just one space.

Furthermore, as Arizona builders, we have heard several times, that many people do not want to share their vanity space with their family members. We would agree! In the morning, at night, or any time of the day. Having two vanities allows for extra storage space, easier accessibility to products, and personal design!

Primary Suite Bedroom:

Lastly, you cannot forget about the primary bedroom! Aside from a mattress, nightstands, mirrors, accent furniture pieces, and more, there are a few more essentials as luxury builders we suggest. Such as waking up to the sun shining through is often great however, on the days that you would like to sleep in, we suggest having luxe drapes to block out the light. Drapes not only block out the light but can also aesthetically tie in design color palettes.

Another essential item we suggest to make your primary suite a refreshed and bright sanctuary is adding plants. Plants add a pop of color and can be used anywhere in the room, hanging from the ceiling, in a planter, or as a table piece. Let’s not forget that plants have health benefits too! If you have furry friends, please make sure that you have pet-friendly plants inside.

Visualize welcoming friends into a softly lit lounge where a 600-bottle, climate-controlled cellar glows behind ultra-clear glass. A single tap on your phone lowers the temperature two degrees, LED ribbons spotlight a 1990 Château Latour, and the conversation shifts from market headlines to terroir. That experience, part theater, part craftsmanship, part investment vault, is driving the latest boom in luxury home wine sanctuaries. In 2025, serious collectors no longer hide vintages in a dusty basement; they showcase them at the very heart of the estate, turning storage into social space. Recent design reports even call the modern wine cellar a “jewel box” for the ultra-affluent, thanks to glass enclosures, app-controlled thermostats, and gallery-style lighting. But what transforms a mere storage room into a sanctuary worthy of your first-growth Bordeaux? Let’s uncork the essentials, backed by real Fratantoni projects and the latest industry data.

Building a custom home should be an experience marked by excitement, creativity, and complete trust in the team guiding you through it. But as we’ve seen time and again, placing your dream in the wrong hands can lead to disappointment, delays, and costly mistakes. At Fratantoni Luxury Estates, we’ve earned a reputation for building exceptional homes for discerning families across the nation. Many of our clients come to us after working with firms that didn’t meet their standards—and they’re often relieved to find the level of service, detail, and sophistication they expected from the start. Before you commit to a design/build firm, watch for these five red flags that could derail your custom home experience and discover how we intentionally do things differently. 1. Vague Proposals and Unrealistic Estimates If a proposal lacks clarity, feels overly “cookie-cutter,” or seems too low for the level of finishes you expect, take pause. Bespoke homes require bespoke planning. At Fratantoni Luxury Estates, our proposals are precise, detailed, and tailored to the scale and style of your estate. You’ll know exactly what’s include and what to expect so there are no surprises down the road. 2. Disconnected Teams and Outsourced Design When architecture, design, and construction are handled by different firms, communication gaps are inevitable—and those gaps show up in your finished home. Our in-house team of architects, designers, and builders work seamlessly together, ensuring a unified vision and flawless execution. This full-service model is how we create homes with harmony, balance, and timeless design integrity.
