“Bonus” room, a concept often not featured or talked about, but one we are luxury home builders want to focus on this month! Bonus rooms are rooms that are technically not bedrooms. Our focus for this blog is rooms such as game rooms, home theaters, home gyms, art rooms, etc. Bonus rooms are one trend that although often not covered, is not going away anytime soon! In fact, they are becoming more popular because who doesn’t like a space that is both fun and relaxing, but also serves purpose and function?

Functionality and purpose are two important aspects of a home! No one likes space going to waste. This is why often we see the combination of two bonus rooms. A multipurpose room combines the best of both worlds all in one. Such as a movie theater and game room. Nothing is better than reclining seats, endless access to snacks, and the ability to pause the program whenever you want! Or play pool, foosball, and Pac-Man while having a video game tournament on the big screen.
